“Fashion can be bought. Style one must possess.”
This quote to me is a way of life. Though it is literally referring to fashion, in my eyes it also represents the way you portray yourself in a way that is unique and brilliantly out of the ordinary. My legal name is Moneesha but strangely all my life I have gone by my alias: Muneet. For whatever reason that my parents decided to name me after the Indian goddess of intelligence, will remain unknown, but the latter has no other meaning than that of 22 years of existence. I am the youngest of three remarkably close siblings who are each comprised of half Italian and German genes from our mother and half Indian characteristics from our father. At SJSU, I am working towards graduating this winter with a degree in Advertising and later pursuing a career which will unite my education with my love for fashion. My ultimate goal is to become a designer of high but down-to-earth fashion that will be recognized as classic with an air of funk. In the meantime I aspire to be part of a fashion magazine or becoming a visual advertiser for any of my favorite designers like Betsey Johnson. I also enjoy sewing, dancing, cooking and hanging out with my favorite people! From this class, I hope to broaden my fascination of journalism and learn how to work my new blog!

ReplyDeleteI suspect you may be a Project Runway fan, like me. I used to sew pretty regularly ... now it seems that I just collect patterns like they're baseball cards ... and fabric, yes, I love fabric. I collect that too. I probably have 10-15 years worth of fabric in my closet. Some day....
